Becoming an author? As a math teacher, that wasn’t exactly in my curriculum – until I realised there was no book out there for boarding school staff who are juggling lesson plans, unexpected fire drills, and the occasional midnight “missing phone or noise” search. So, I did what any over caffeinated educator would do: I wrote it myself. And now, here we are, ready to navigate our boarding reality together!
As an author, I offer boarding world building insights for those who want more. My books empower you to move forwards with knowledge, support and a sense of who you are (and could be). So, let’s step forward together – leading in the moments that matter (like making sure the kids don’t set off the fire alarm at 3 a.m.), in the places that shape us (yes, the staff room is its own reality show), and with the people who make it all worthwhile (you, the one holding it all together).

I have written articles for various independent school magazines ranging from Independent Schools Today to boarding school associations. Outside of boarding, I have also written for ICN coaching magazine and regularly post on linked in.
Events
I have shared my work at Boarding School Association conferences around the world – and may have even asked you to draw round your hand! As a Toastmaster, I have presented at regional Toastmaster conferences. I know it is our boarding world – this is not making toast it is a leadership and public speaking organisation.
Training
Some of my ideas have been included when training school mental health leeds at all levels with the DFE School Mental Health training.
